Whirl-y-Fayre is like no other, the biggest and best little festival where every element blends together to create a unique vibration sustained by love, laughter and one stage music programming. Choreographed by Whirl-y-Gig’s DJ Monkey Pilot, all artists contribute to one flowing trip perfect in time and situation, musicians of all ages and places, music of all styles and genres.

This will be the 10^th edition of Whirl-y-Fayre and it will be a coming of age. Building on the success of 2024, we are returning to Knoll Farm where we will create a vision of the legendary Whirl-y-Gig club experience over a summer weekend in a secluded field with all round views over the beautiful Isle of Purbeck. We have two well built adjacent barns connected by a courtyard offering superior facilities such as flush toilets and showers!. One barn will be the main stage dance space and the other will form the Bar and Cafe chillout area with small stage. This year you can expect programming and design with greater definition between each of the three days reflecting the changing energy and expectations as we travel through the weekend.

Friday night will be a proper welcome party featuring DJ Monkey Pilot’s Global Disco with special guests Zion Train. Saturday is the all day and night Global Dance Live Extravaganza featuring Champa, Child of Illusion, Max Pashm, Oood, Raz & Afla and Submatic. The Sunday Massive features Banyatti, Ed Solo, Joi Soundsystem and Sublifter, followed by Monkey Pilot’s extended Whirl-y-Classics set bringing the weekend to a close. Saturday’s Breakfast Folk Sessions will be lively with Nuala and Mary &The Faeries. Sunday’s Breakfast Psybient Sessions will be more chilled with Another Green World and Banco de Gaia! Our favourite guest DJs will once again host the Silent Disco, Chrissieed and Woodzee on Friday night, Mattana and Ron Speed on Saturday night. When all is done, it can only be DJ Tee bringing her eclectic mix of happiness to the Sunday After Party.

Here we bring you the seventh Whirl-y-Fayre perfect in formation with every element in place and future potential in the making. Whirl-y-Fayre is a global dance event with humanity at heart, where people of all ages and places can make discoveries and share experience, where we can all be free!

A Weekend of Whirl-Y-Magic

Set deep in the Somerset countryside on an enchanted, beautiful site, in view of Glastonbury Tor, DJ Monkey Pilot and a host of sizzling bands are set to rock your evenings in the Global Disco Big Top, whilst your afternoons will be entertained by Mary the Fairy hosting the free Parlour Stage. A line-up of tried and tested Whirly After-Party DJs will play through the small hours of the night and chilled psybient vibes will be on offer in Robbie’s ‘psy art’ tent whilst the campfire burns in the Whirl-Y-Garden.

At every moment artists contribute to one flowing trip, perfect in time and place, musicians of all ages and places.

We have another fantastic music line-up in 2019. The Parlour Party free stage features amazing new talent as well as welcoming all of you! Some favourite bands return to the Whirl-y-Gig stage including Banco de Gaia, Transglobal Underground and Oood together with new discoveries such as Loonaloop, Mista Trick and Spinney Lainey. The After Party DJ chill zone feeds the vibe until morning when the breakfast programme includes supremo Mazlyn Jones, one of the first live artists ever to play at a Whirl-y-Gig back in 1991!

At Whirl-y-Fayre, that special ‘something in the air’ is tangible and felt by all, and it binds everything together to produce a complete experience for everyone. Happy happenings also include the Krafty Kids Tent, Robbie’s Psy Art and the expanded Goddess Temple workshops and healing garden. You can rely on Glenda’s bender in our 24 hour Café together with Peter’s bar open from mid-day until 2am. Within the magic realm you will also find a story-telling Tipi, the Energy Collective and of course the never fading fire pit.
